Our friend Tomaz introduced us to the site Historical Maps of Toronto. We never knew cartography could be so engaging. Developed by Nathan Ng to "amuse, delight and inform", you can spend hours browsing through our city's growth and perhaps determine when your abode was built. These maps are all in the public domain, scanned and organized from the collections at the Toronto Public Reference Library and the City Archive. Ng has done a great service for history buffs and curious residents alike. You can support his project here.
