The weekend closes having seen many markets stalls. To rifle through cluttered piles of antiques, clothing, ephemera and junk in another country has a special pleasure; common objects are different from at home and what would seem mundane to a Berliner is novel to us. However, we did somehow manage to walk away with (another) English stoneware mixing bowl.
The objects you see here came from the Mauerpark Flea market and the Straße des 17. Juni Antiques market near Tiergarten. Both are very busy but the quantity is high and prices not outlandish. There are many smaller markets throughout the city offering better deals and calmer experiences; a longer stay would see us there I'm sure.
