Although this scene cannot rival some of the front yard assemblages found on Toronto's side streets, it is the first eccentric house decoration I've seen while in France. It may be not a cultural difference but rather a symptom of apartment living; window boxes make for small venues to express eclectic tastes. This house sits on the Seine about a half hour outside of Paris and stood out among its more orderly neighbours.
