Everyone agrees that the Toronto real estate market is rather ridiculous. To find a relatively central house for under half a million is becoming a rare opportunity. While perusing MLS I was shocked to see this Edwardian row house at 186 Emerson for $319,000. While in the neighbourhood we thought we'd take a look to see what 300 grand gets you.
In most other communities this kind of cash would buy you a mansion. In Toronto you'll get this handyman's special, 12 feet wide, complete with the water and power switched off. Take heart, it's been on the market for a month, you might be able to get it for $275,000.
