The Art Gallery of Ontario has one of the best collections of Inuit art in the world. In addition to the works on display in the galleries, there are many many more incredible pieces to be found in the Inuit visible storage. Located in the basement between the Community Gallery and the cafeteria, these display cases provide a fascinating glimpse into the workings of the gallery. But the real draw is the artwork: a casual glance is not enough to absorb their power, beauty and sensitivity and the lingering patrons attest to this.
