Although dust wasn't invented in the Victorian era, it has an affinity for the complicated details of the furnishings and decorations of that time. Queen Victoria's obsession with mourning, her fascination with taxidermy and her interest in the local styles from her wide empire promoted an aesthetic that I can't seem to avoid. Miss Havisham would feel quite comfortable spending the night here I think.
