I buy my dates, roasted almonds, and other raw ingredients from Mara at her dry goods shop in Kensington Market. She worked in a hospital in Romania and moved to Toronto in 1976, opening her business in the same year. Dedicated to a life of hard work, she takes pride in, not only customer service and selling quality goods, but also in the importance of family.
