WITHERS WILLIAMS INTERIOR

Jane Williams and Colin Withers purchased their two storey war-time house in the days before real estate madness.  The previous owner was second to the original and lived there for many years as a spinster with a gentleman friend (titled esquire on the paperwork).  The sale went down in the above room, then covered in dark paneling.  Over the past decade, Withers and Williams have slowly transformed the house from a 1940's time capsule into a serene dream of white, peppered with original trim, stained glass and splashes of colour coming from accomplished artists and equally accomplished children.  We love that by doing most projects themselves and waiting for the right moment, they were able to indulge in items such as the accordian patio door, sub zero fridge, and marble backsplash slab.  This house is an inspiration for anyone trying to de-clutter.  Time spent together holds paramount place here, and it seems that objects just can't compare.  That said, an abundance of storage never hinders the minimalist lifestyle and everyones got a closeted collection or two.
