I met Pernilla at an arts event while in Skælskør, Denmark. She is one of the major art organizers of the town and graciously invited me over to her lake-side home. Along with her husband Peter, a semi-retired landscape architect, Pernilla has created an idyllic environment that is much more "Howards End" than Danish Contemporary. The property is beautifully landscaped (of course) and the 19th century home is both glamorous and modest. Walking through the rooms you can really sense the years of hard work, beautiful living and the loving relationship between Pernille, Peter and their 3 children. The couple is very proactive in the community and are an inspiration to anyone who wishes to "do" rather than dream. Their vibrant interest in art, food, and design is intoxicating as is their seemingly boundless energy. Skælskør would not be the same without this pair.
